Shelley Maternity Photography

Friday, January 28th, 2011

Shelley has not got long to go, around 3 weeks at the time of writing.  Sometimes it can be a little bit daunting for a Mum To Be to get in front of a camera but it didn’t take Shelley long to get into the spirit of it.  Shelley’s Mum and Dad own MGD Commercial and Motor Services in Kendal, Cumbria so for those of you who are local to the area there can be no better place to get your motor serviced, at least that’s what Mark has told me!  Jane, Shelley’s Mum, is not a fan of having her photograph taken but Mark (Jane’s Husband) said she looked absolutely fantastic.  He’s so smooth with the chat.

So for a Cumbria Wedding Photographer this was a little bit different.  I set up my mobile studio in Mum’s house so that everyone would be comfortable and we shot a nice little portfolio that Shelley will be able to look back on in years to come and remember the first of what she tells me will be many – well she didn’t say that but her Mum is hoping!

Vintage Wedding Photography

Vintage is the new cool!  It never ceases to surprise me how fashion reinvents itself. Vintage wedding photographs are now the new vogue.  So if you are looking for a Cumbria Wedding Photographer and want to go for the new, or old – dependent on your view, style of wedding photography then give me a call.  For me there is nothing that equals a photograph that is strong in emotion, laughter, fun and great reaction between people.  A photograph has to capture the personality, the relationship between people, that moment that cannot be repeated.  That is what I seek to capture in my wedding photography.

I have recently been asked why Schtuff Photography?  Well thats what we all accumulate as we go through life – schtuff.  And then we leave all the schtuff for someone else to enjoy!  Family and Wedding Photographs are a very important part of our legacy.  I still regularly look at old family photographs because they captured moments in time that can only be refreshed by looking at the image.  So I hope the cumbria wedding photographs below will give you a good feel for the ‘alternative vintage look’.  And please do not forget, though I keep using the term cumbria wedding photographer, I will cover any geographic location you may choose.

Children and Pets Photography

Kids – don’t you love em!  Never work with children or animals!  You have undoubtedly heard these phrases.  And yet they can be extremely rewarding when the result comes out that you would hope for.

I have an extremely busy time coming up in January and February. On Saturday I have a Mum to Be to photograph, on Sunday I travel to London where I am involved in a 3 day workshop for Wedding Photography.  This will be quite a change from Cumbria Wedding Photography where we shoot with lakes and trees.  Instead it will be buildings and urban settings.  Then when I get back I have a Model fashion shoot to do followed up by a ‘rock the dress’ wedding dress shoot with two young ladies in the studio.  On the 4th and 5th February you will be able to come and meet me at Westmorland Shopping Centre.  So if you are looking for a Cumbria Wedding Photographer, wanting a Family or Child Photographer or looking to put together a Model Portfolio then come and find me.  I will have a Schtuff exhibition stand, sample Wedding Albums, slideshows of recent photographs and a special deal for each type of assignment.
