A lovely sunny day greeted us as we set off for Joe’ Mum and Dad’s in Kendal and the start of this Cumbria Wedding. A generous family member had arranged for a gorgeous vintage Bentley to pick Angela up from her home and drive across to Bowness. The Belsfield Hotel has some fantastic rooms to shoot in and although it was chilly the snow just set off the backdrop. joe had decided to wear some cool Batman shoes and his brother amused everyone with his antics. All in all a great day.

We had a full day with Tori who travelled all the way over from Scarborough, setting off at 6:30 in the morning to be in Kendal by 10:30. She was a little bit tired and stressed when she arrived! After giving her some time for coffee and make up we set off for Acre Moss graffiti wall for the first session of the day. After an hour in the freezing cold we felt like a little warming up so set off to Staveley Mill Yard and headed straight to More Bakery for an Illy cappucino and something to eat. A great place for lunch. Suitably refreshed we took advantage of some of the cool backdrops around the Yard and then decided we would bring a little more ‘Lakeland’ tradition into the portfolio. Off we went to Windermere and Sherriffs Walk where there is a lovely little walk up by the waterfall and into the woods. With the sun going down we headed back to Acre Moss for some funky off camera flash shots in the bus shelter. Job done and home we went!

I should have been on a pre wedding photoshoot this afternoon down at Williamson Park in Lancaster with Lorna and Gareth, but we decided to postpone for a couple of weeks in the hope that we get some better weather. The sky is a blanket of grey, which for a pre wedding shoot spoils the overall look of the photographs. Lorna and Gareth are due to get married in December so we still have plenty of time to get the right shoot for them. On Tuesday this week Ruth and I photographed the wedding of Joe and Angela at The Belsfield Hotel in Bowness Cumbria and that was a beautiful day to get married. The sun was out, the sky was really interesting and the rooms in the venue were super for wedding photography. If you want to see some of the results you can go to our dedicated Wedding website at http://www.schtuff.com. On Monday I have another Lifestyle Model Portfolio to shoot with Tori so really looking forward to that, it doesn’t matter so much what the weather is like as most of the shoot will be on an ‘urban’ theme. In the meantime here are some more photos from the shoot a couple of weeks ago with the beautiful Charlotte. This final set have all been treated with a ‘vintage’ wash so hope you like them.
