Cumbria Wedding Photographer and HRH Prince Charles Visit to Cumbria

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

This was certainly a very different proposition from shooting weddings as I was commissioned to photograph HRH Prince Charles visit in Staveley, specifically to More Bakery.  From a photographers viewpoint a different set of challenges as there is no opportunity to set up shots, you just have to be ready to take whatever photographs you can get.  Of course Prince Charles is surrounded by many people on his visits some of whom you would not choose to argue with!  His Press Secretary was very helpful however and with his assistance it proved to be a successful shoot.  The Prince spent a lot of time with Patrick at More Bakery and was clearly impressed with what has been achieved there. Of course now having photographed Royalty all my prices for weddings have doubled. Just kidding. If you have come to this website looking for Wedding Photography then go to our dedicated Wedding Photography website at www.schtuff.com.

Sarah & Nick Family Photography

Monday, February 7th, 2011

I met Sara and Nick whilst carrying out an assignment as a Cumbria wedding photographer in Cockermouth recently.  They own and run a business called Bars2U which was servicing the wedding marquee.  If you are looking for a bar service they are an ideal couple to talk to as they offer very flexible arrangements for supply.  Well for the family photography we chose a Sunday afternoon around the shores of Windermere and it was freezing cold!  Poor little Isabelle wanted to show off her new angel dress and actually was not too well on the day.  So we managed some quick shots so Mum and Dad would have a cherished memory of their daughter.  Actually looking back on the family photographs Sarah and Nick don’t look to warm either!  As it was a dark day a lot of fill in flash was required as well.  Isabelle is a little charmer, so quiet and well mannered – it was a privilege to photograph them altogether.

If you are considering getting married, having family or children photographed then please give me a call.  My next Cumbria Wedding Photographer assignment is on Thursday this week when I have not one but two Brides to photograph.  Stay tuned for more wedding photography!

Children and Pets Photography

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Kids – don’t you love em!  Never work with children or animals!  You have undoubtedly heard these phrases.  And yet they can be extremely rewarding when the result comes out that you would hope for.

I have an extremely busy time coming up in January and February. On Saturday I have a Mum to Be to photograph, on Sunday I travel to London where I am involved in a 3 day workshop for Wedding Photography.  This will be quite a change from Cumbria Wedding Photography where we shoot with lakes and trees.  Instead it will be buildings and urban settings.  Then when I get back I have a Model fashion shoot to do followed up by a ‘rock the dress’ wedding dress shoot with two young ladies in the studio.  On the 4th and 5th February you will be able to come and meet me at Westmorland Shopping Centre.  So if you are looking for a Cumbria Wedding Photographer, wanting a Family or Child Photographer or looking to put together a Model Portfolio then come and find me.  I will have a Schtuff exhibition stand, sample Wedding Albums, slideshows of recent photographs and a special deal for each type of assignment.
