Well it was back into the Studio this week as I waited for the weather to improve. I have had to delay an outside Fashion Shoot now for 3 weeks due to snow and ice still on the ground where we want to shoot. As an official Cumbria Wedding Photographer of course I have had to learn to cope with all sorts of bad weather. In fact I will be busy this Saturday in Cockermouth doing wedding photography and I am really looking forward to it. The weather forecast is promising fresh snow, the bride I know will look stunning and the guys are all going to be dressed in uniform. But for now I am delighted to include some photographs of Jenny taken this Monday. I really liked the Spanish Senorita look which suited her colouring really well. If you need a model portfolio please get in touch, it isn’t expensive.
One bit of fantastic news is that I will be taking part in a Wedding Photography Workshop in London with Adam Alex in January. Adam is generally regarded as the best wedding photographer in the UK and has received numerous accolades so to be involved with him on a three day workshop is really exciting for me. Cumbria Wedding Photographer bookings are already flowing for 2011 so please make contact early to secure your date and time. I spend quite a bit of time in Scotland each year and was asked recently to supply some photographs for the 2011 Scottish Photographer of the Year awards. Fingers crossed and we will see how I get on. Well the year is drawing to a close and it has been a very busy time with cumbria wedding photography, model portfolios, studio photography, portrait photography, pre wedding photography and so on. Early in January I plan to do a Blog of what I think have been all the memorable moments and photographs of the year.

In our Blog you will find Wedding, Portrait, Commercial, Family and some oddball Photography. We have been asked several times to define our style of Wedding photography and of course there is a whole host of words out there to describe photographic styles, photojournalism, reportage, traditional, documentary, fine art and the list goes on. We have come to realise that our (Ruth and I work together) style is based primarily around intimate images. We do all the other schtuff mentioned before but a common theme that runs through our work is 'intimacy'. The wedding is about the couple and the rest of us are there to observe. But ultimately it is about the love that the couple have for each other. That is what we seek to represent in the photographs we produce. You are the best judge of whether we succeed.
