I was meant to be Blogging a Fashion Shoot this week but unfortunately the weather was far too cold to get out on location so we are hoping this coming Saturday will be a little kinder. A week on Saturday I have a Cumbria Wedding Photographer assignment up in the North Lakes so regardless of the weather I will have to get there. So as not to miss my weekly update I have put some photographs of Joe up for all the females out there who read my Blog each week. We went into the studio on Monday evening to practice some low key flash photography and this was the result. You may have seen Joe before as he does a bit of modelling in his spare time for Wedding Photography shoots. Anyway it was a very useful evening brushing up on my skills using just one flash light. I decided, unusually, to include both a colour and a black and white version of each photograph. Let me know what you think!

In our Blog you will find Wedding, Portrait, Commercial, Family and some oddball Photography. We have been asked several times to define our style of Wedding photography and of course there is a whole host of words out there to describe photographic styles, photojournalism, reportage, traditional, documentary, fine art and the list goes on. We have come to realise that our (Ruth and I work together) style is based primarily around intimate images. We do all the other schtuff mentioned before but a common theme that runs through our work is 'intimacy'. The wedding is about the couple and the rest of us are there to observe. But ultimately it is about the love that the couple have for each other. That is what we seek to represent in the photographs we produce. You are the best judge of whether we succeed.

Your blog has fantastic Information. As a wedding and portrait photographer in San Jose, it’s challenging getting the right info to get the job done. I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog to get more inspiration. Thanks you very much!!!
