My initial interest in photography started when I was in my 20’s and I enrolled at Bury College to gain a photography degree. At the time I was out of work and wanted to pursue photography as a career. The week before my course was due to start I was offered a job in the I.T. Industry which required me to move down South immediately, to Windsor. So photography went on the backburner for a number of years whilst I earned my money and supported my growing family, my wife Ruth and three daughters.
There was a time when wedding photography was all formal group set ups, face the camera, say ‘cheese’ and take the photo. That never sat well with me so I concentrated on photographing landscapes, flowers and animals as a hobby.
The digital age changed everything for me. I suddenly started to see on the web the kind of photography, especially wedding photography, that I knew I would enjoy taking part in. For me weddings are about romance, intimacy, fun, capturing fleeting moments in time and most importantly people. Life is about people and sharing good times with them. When I go to photograph a wedding or a portrait the interaction with people who enjoy what you are doing for them is incredibly rewarding. A moment of time came when I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to become a full time photographer and since then I have never regretted the decision to go for it. The dynamics of every wedding are different but there is one constant, a couple in love and Parents, Family and Friends who want everything to be right on the day. I count it a privilege to be part of that day with you. I love that I can contribute something special to your day as well!
Many Regards
Steve

In our Blog you will find Wedding, Portrait, Commercial, Family and some oddball Photography. We have been asked several times to define our style of Wedding photography and of course there is a whole host of words out there to describe photographic styles, photojournalism, reportage, traditional, documentary, fine art and the list goes on. We have come to realise that our (Ruth and I work together) style is based primarily around intimate images. We do all the other schtuff mentioned before but a common theme that runs through our work is 'intimacy'. The wedding is about the couple and the rest of us are there to observe. But ultimately it is about the love that the couple have for each other. That is what we seek to represent in the photographs we produce. You are the best judge of whether we succeed.
