Family Photographers Cumbria with Guy & Kiah

Monday, February 25th, 2013

It is great fun getting a Family into the Studio with Family Photographers Cumbria.  That is exactly what happened with Guy and Kiah and their Mum and Dad, Nyki and Craig, when they visited the Schtuff Photography Studio in Kendal recently.

I don’t think Nyki and Craig had expected to get so involved themselves but when you have all the family members together why not go for it!  This was the first time that as Family Photographers Cumbria we had been able to use the outside locations of the Victorian house and farm where our Studio is located.  Although it was yet another freezing cold day the family were up for it and we managed to get some photographs before we all turned into blocks of ice.  Mum and Dad are quite rightly proud of their Son and Daughter who impressed us greatly with their co-operation and manner.

If you are interested in having a Family portfolio, lifestyle or portrait photography this is the best time to talk to us. We have some great deals to fill the quieter months of February and March before the Wedding season kicks off in earnest again.  We have two Wedding Photographers Cumbria Fayres coming up where you can meet us, one at Rheged near Penrith on the 7th March and the other at the Inn On The Lake Ullswater on the 24th March.  We have just received three brand new sample Albums showing real weddings so will be taking those with us for the show.  If you have come to this blog looking for Wedding photography then please click on this link www.schtuff.com to go to our dedicated Wedding Photography website.

Sara’s Leyland Party by Cumbria Wedding Photographer

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

We received an email from Sara almost a year ago asking if we would set up a photo booth at the party she was going to hold in Leyland.  Space was at a premium at the Venue with so many guests but we managed to find enough to erect a backdrop cloth and set up our Bowens Studio Lights.  Sara arrived in a big stretch limousine and the party started!   Music for the evening was supplied by Nelson Santos from Karaoke & Disco Direct.  By the time we were due to leave everyone was in the full swing of it so we left them to enjoy an evening of fun, music and booze!  A few days later we received the following email from Sara ‘Hi Steve, Thank you very much for doing my photos , they are fantastic – love them all..!!  I will definately be recommending you to others.’  Well it was our pleasure and thank you for choosing Schtuff Photography.

We followed this up later in the week with the photoshoot of Joe and Fiona’s wedding held at Kendal Parish Church and then onto Castle Green Hotel for the reception.  The photos should be on next weeks Blog.  This Saturday we are meeting up with Mark and Julia for their pre wedding shoot and once again this Cumbria Wedding Photographer will be on his travels as we go down to High Wycombe later this year for their wedding.

Dane & Katy’s Baby Photography by Cumbria Wedding Photographer

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

I have to confess that the most challenging photography for me is Baby photography.  For someone more used to capturing cumbria wedding photography attempting to photograph a little one, to whom you cannot give any direction, is challenging indeed.  Trying to accomplish that with twins is a bit mind blowing!  Whether I have done them justice is not really for me to decide.  I think Mum and Dad and those of you who follow or find this Blog are probably better placed to make that judgement.  So as a Kendal Wedding Photographer I present a few images which you can make up your own mind about.  I suspect photographing babies is much easier in the fixed environment of a Studio where you can control the setting far easier than in a home.  The upside though is that experience makes one better at the assignment so all I can say is keep those babies coming!

We are really looking forward this week to the wedding of Ricci and Penelope on Saturday at The Inn On The Lake in Ullswater.  For those who have never been there it is a beautiful location with great opportunities for wedding photography.  Ricci and Penelope have also booked an Ullswater Steamer to take the wedding party out on to the Lake in the evening so it promises to be a great day.

Many thanks to all those who stopped to say hello at our Cumbria Wedding Photography exhibition this last weekend at Westmorland Shopping Centre.  It was a pleasure to meet you all and share some of your plans for the future.
