We went out with Maddison last Saturday into the back streets of Kendal to record some images as she has entered the ‘terrible teens’ part of her life. She was a dream to work with, needing very little input from ourselves and being very happy to just get on with it. We photographed her Mum and Dad, Ian and Lisa, some time back for their Wedding Anniversary so the family is quite well known to us. We had been intending to use the backdrops of some of these streets for quite a while, so this booking proved an ideal opportunity to explore the possibilities. Well in the end there were too many photographs to put into one Blog post so watch out for a part 2 at some point!
Just a reminder that if you have come to this Blog looking for Wedding Photography you may want to switch to our dedicated Wedding website at www.schtuff.com.

In our Blog you will find Wedding, Portrait, Commercial, Family and some oddball Photography. We have been asked several times to define our style of Wedding photography and of course there is a whole host of words out there to describe photographic styles, photojournalism, reportage, traditional, documentary, fine art and the list goes on. We have come to realise that our (Ruth and I work together) style is based primarily around intimate images. We do all the other schtuff mentioned before but a common theme that runs through our work is 'intimacy'. The wedding is about the couple and the rest of us are there to observe. But ultimately it is about the love that the couple have for each other. That is what we seek to represent in the photographs we produce. You are the best judge of whether we succeed.
