 Northumberland Alnwick Gardens Arches Photograph taken in mid November with the winter sun sinking quickly on the horizon.  Normally I do not like to see lens flare on a picture but it seems to work on this one.  Having looked at old photographs on site of Alnwick Gardens there was not much left other than the arches before renovation began about 10 years ago.  Although still ongoing the gardens are quite stunning with water features around every corner.  It reminded me of the gardens at Versaille Palace although on a smaller scale.
